Woman 11:  I used to weigh over 300 pounds.  And I had a gastric bypass in 2002.  And in between that and the gastric bypass I lost like 156 pounds and I had a lot of skin that I needed removed.

Woman 17:  I had a breast lift and augmentation because I had nursed three kids and they were heading south so it was time to do something about it.  Before it was not pretty. And I was very-- my breasts were different lengths, I guess, you could say. I wasn’t a 36D. I was a 36-long. And now I’m actually a 36D.  So they just look nice. And they look natural. 

Woman 25:  Well, I had three children. And I wanted to look a lot better in my clothes. And I was tired of always wearing long tops and baggy pants.

Woman 26:  I’m athletic normally. And I was normally a certain weight that I wanted to carry. And after I had my children, I went way above that weight and I looked out of shape. And no matter how much weight I lost and I was an instructor for aerobics it’s just that you had this in the front you had this pot belly that just would not go away.

Woman 17:  I went through a lot to have my children. And every time I looked at that scar, it brought back a lot of painful memories.

Woman 27:  I just feel like if I were to just get the bump shaved off which wouldn’t be that big of a procedure, maybe not the tip or anything, just the bump, then I could just feel a lot more confident. And it would be a subtle difference and not everyone would see but it would make a big difference to me and my confidence level.

Woman 28:  I didn’t even know what type of procedure would be available for what I was wanting. I didn’t even know what some of this was named or called. And they educated to me which procedure would make more sense for me and where I’m at in my life. And by the time we were done, I knew what and why I was going to do that and why it made sense.

Woman 20:  I googled him. I was really-- I left the office the first day that I had loved the first person that I met and that I should do some more research and pick somebody-- do a little more homework before I had surgery.  And we googled him and found out that he was brilliant and Harvard trained.  And had done-- actually, that he was not just a plastic surgeon, but a general surgeon. And in my case, that was really, really important because they had to be able to do a hernia repair and the cleanup work. So he was the best of both worlds.

Woman 27:  I had a girlfriend in my office that had prior experience with Dr. Zewert and she just spoke about him, you know, she said he did a great job. He had good bedside manner. He was just a great guy.

Woman 28:  Yes, totally, I am so, so pleased with the results that I have actually told some of my friends.  And ironically one of them has had a procedure done with Dr. Zewert and she’s just ecstatic with her results also.

Woman 21:  Dr. Zewert was recommended to me by OB/GYN because he does really great work with moms after they’ve had babies.

Woman 30:  After speaking with Dr. Zewert I was completely confident about it.  I knew that’s what I wanted to do. And I was really excited.  And I started telling all of my friends and my family and everybody-- not everybody backed me up on it but I know this is what I want to do.  And I actually talked to the doctor about my concerns and I just felt like he really addressed my concerns and he was really upfront with me.

Woman 31:  When I first contacted the office they had time for me. Amanda answered the phone.  She was very sweet.  Very nice.  Very professional and she answered all of my questions and she was not afraid to say that she didn’t know the answer. And she contacted me with somebody who did. And it just felt right.

Woman 24:  They knew who I was.  They knew my name when I walked in. I wasn’t a number. I was an actual person.

Woman 21:  That was the beginning point. That was the main contact.  It put me at ease.  And then when I went him the same thing just very, very good beside manner. Just very, very nice man, very funny.

Woman 31:  I felt like I was just part of the family from the very beginning. Like he came in and it felt like he was just hey, how are you doing? You know, not just some doctor that’s just going to do my surgery.

Woman 35:  And so it takes a very skilled staff to be able to look at you and for you not to feel uncomfortable around them.

Woman 36:  You go in and every single person that touched me I don’t know how you can get a staff to where you have every single person really seems to care about you and understands that nervousness.  Because they’re just doing their job too.  They know this inside out. 

Woman 37:  To treat you as a real person and understanding your concern, holding your hand through it and having great results.  It was just-- all they have a wonderful team.

Woman 31:  They really try to work with everybody individually so that they can do what they want to do without putting themselves in an enormous amount of debt.

Woman 39:  One of the things that really impressed me that he was honest and that he took one look at me and he told me what I needed to do and he looked at me and said, why don’t you lose a few pounds, why don’t you do this, why don’t you do that.  And so my process was about five years before I actually had the surgery.

Woman 40:  I wanted to do another procedure and he said it just wasn’t safe. Also he didn’t make any promises other than taking really good care of me. He told me, I’m not going to promise you that the pain will go away but it might. It did. So I really-- integrity was it.

Woman 41:  He really communicated with me on the same level. He really put things into perspective, and the terminology that I can understand. 

Woman 24:  And he’ll call, you know, and talk to you and how are you doing?  Is everything okay? And any questions it doesn’t matter. He’ll call you back. You don’t have to talk to somebody else.

Woman 11:  A lot of doctors don’t have good bedside manners.  A lot of them want to go in and look at you and walk out.  A lot of them listen here, listen here, and go out.  But he sat there and he talked to me, you know. He actually talked to me.

Woman 24:  He can make an awkward situation just funny. And I crack up when I get nervous I make stupid little jokes and he just rolled with it and we clicked. Our personalities clicked.

Woman 21:  And, I think, that in addition to being a great surgeon you have to have somebody who can really connect with you on the fear level.  You know he- he was-- to the minute that we walked into that surgery room, actually, in the surgery room, he was just really taking good care of me as a person and that made a huge difference.

Woman 45:  He was just calming and he just made me feel like the questions I had were legitimate. They were good questions for him but that when he answered them I would be like oh, okay, all right. And I just felt really at ease, again, with him.  The whole office is very calming.

Woman 46:  I didn’t realize he could make such a dramatic just by making those cuts like a seamstress.  I didn’t believe he could move my skin around. I actually have like a ripped ribs. I mean I’m like cut and I was very rolly before and it’s really me underneath.  It’s still me.  It’s not like we put in fake ribs <laughs> or fake muscles or anything. And then it even gave me more shape on my sides.

Woman 47:  He minimized areola.  I had this giant huge pancake looking boob and now it looks normal. 

Woman 46:  Even now that I have the scar, the scar is so minimal.

Woman 49:  It’s a beautiful, straight beautiful line scar. Very minimal. It could have been much-- nothing like my appendix scar was.  He knows what he’s doing.

Woman 12:  And he couldn’t believe and neither could I how good the scar came out.  I mean it’s excellent.

Woman 51:  I feel fantastic.  I absolutely have no back pain whatsoever.

Woman 24:  I would come back to him just because I feel really, really comfortable here.

Woman 53:  There really wasn’t much pain at all.  I was pleasantly surprised.

Woman 24:  But as far as pain went I really-- I can’t say that I had very much pain. And I would notice the pressure more when I would walk around.  And nine days later doing nails, you know, I’m using my arms all day long. And I was fine.  I was fine.  So I recovered well and quickly.

Woman 54:  I feel amazing.  It’s changed my life.  Absolutely. I would do it again if I had to.

Woman 17:  I catch myself still looking at myself in the mirror and I’m just like wow. 

Woman 56:  I feel great.  <laughs> I feel very sexy.  Very happy.  Very proud.  I’ve even lost additional weight since then.

Woman 24:  I’m 40 years old and I look more like I’m 30 years old.  So that’s good. I’d have more stuff done.

Woman 58:  Look at this. It’s awesome.  Tummies gone.  I feel great.  I look great in my clothes and Dr. Zewert I owe it all to him.  Do it.  No doubt about it.  He’s awesome.
